Already decided on Monitor, case, keyboard, mouse and speakers so need:

No probs, if you can though - id get a X1800XT for now (or just that X1900XT) and get a better gfx card when DX10 comes out. Because a X1800XT is £110ish whereas the X1900XT is £145. Because if you spend above £200+, you'll lose money because they will drop a lot when DX10 comes out.

Edit: What case did you choose - what colour? Because you can change the colour of the Opti Drive if you need to also.

Pretty sure it will.

But if you dont mind paying that full price (in above spec) by all means get it - But if it was me and i HAD to money i would get the X1900XT and then buy a DX10 card - but thats my personal opinion.

Think ill get the X1800XT, will save a bit, suppose I could crossfire early next year before vista if i need to
Yeah, but you can also save money towards a DX10 card when it comes out.

So the conroe really is as good as everyone is saying?

To put it as simple, Many people said the X2 4400 was one of the best dual core cpu's. the first Allendale CPU will overpower it.

The 2x 2.4Ghz will alone overpower most CPU's.

But to ake it even better, the 4MB Cache is immense.

This will be an amazing gaming PC for years imho.

Think i can stretch to the E6600 then :)
The difference from the E6400 and the E6600 is immense if you're not overclocking.

Once you order it tell me and make sure you post some specs of your new setup / benchies ;)

Will do. Will this thread still be open in a week or two?

Should be - if not there is a system set up thread somewhere. But yeah, this thread will no doubt still be open.

Sorry if you said before, but what case did you choose?
