ok,my mate wants me to build him the best pc for about £500. he will need the case and everything in it. the pc will be used mainly for everyday use.with maybe a bit of gaming. web browsing, music.hdd wise, he wants some storage so maybe a spare hdd in it too.an ssd for windows and windows 7 home premium. so any ideas please

thanks so far. forgot to say,the rig won't be overclocked. he won't need a dvd drive. i thought maybe a 64gig ssd and a 1tb hdd and i like the coolermaster cm-60 lite case

But its just not possible without going massively over budget.

The motherboard is Ivybridge ready, has SATAIII+USB3.0 (useful for a SSD) and has SSD caching/Lucid Virtu and Quicksync.

Close, but I added a comment about the PSU, 550Watts is enough for most single GFX cards that he might upgrade too.

The 2500K is only £17 more:(

any more dosh we could shave off by changing something with the same performance?mainly he wants 1tb hdd the i5 cpu and the gpu and the case
