Wondering if anyone could be kind enough to spec me a new office PC.

Completely lost track of what's what processor wise.

Looking for a decent PC for off. Needs to run dual monitors and be able to handle loads of stuff open. Big excel sheets tend to slow my current systems down. Loads of open browser tabs and various bits of software.

Photoshop and lightroom used from time to time too.

Was about to buy this, but realised I'm sure someone can do better. Removed

So, around the same price with operating system

Don't need KB mouse or speakers or anything.

Cheers!

Any reason y ou can't transfer your current Windows license? Would open the budget up a bit more..

I'd personally opt for building and choosing components myself over buying a prebuilt cheapo.. (if they're making profit, quality/reliability had to have been sacrificed somewhere)..

Can't go wrong building and choosing components, much better value assuming you're comfortable putting the parts together.

Think the difference in processor is worth the extra £40 considering what I'm using it for?

The slightly better/newer processor, and also a faster/newer hard drive (that product's is SATA II not III), (probably) faster RAM (speed is not mentioned, guessing it will be 1333MHz or less), better motherboard (motherboard isn't even listed for that product) and a quality PSU, might make it worth it all things combined. But it is a good deal for a pre-built, has to be said.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-4440 3.10GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £134.99

Cheers fellas, think you've convinced me to stay away from the Amazon one.

I've nearly always built my own in the past and yeah I guess compromises have been made with that prebuilt one.

Can't transfer the licence as it's a second PC at another location but I have an old broken windows 7 laptop that I might be able to?

Thanks! :)
