hi all,

I spend a lot of my time running around the office at work, and I'd like to have a PDA/Tablet to remotly connect to my PC and servers.

The PDA has to have WiFi built in and have microsoft's RDP tool.

Since this is all it will be used for I'd like to keep it as cheap as possible.

any suggestions??

cheers in advance :)

I don't know about new PDA's but I have an old HP2210 that I paid £30 for and then bought a SD wireless card £10. It runs pocket PC 2003 premium.

I can remote desktop into my servers using terminal services on the PDA. The 320 x 240 resolution isn't great but it's fine for basic admin.

I assume almost any MS based pocket PC will have terminal services and so will remote desktop.

Asus eee pc.. the extra size isn't much more than a PDA, has a full keyboard and when running XP (instead of some mobile garbage OS) will allow you to run a wealth of apps.

can any of these mobile microsoft OS's join a domain?? pocket pc 2002?? 2003?? wm5/6 ??

I'm guessing here but I'd say so. The PDA provides the option to connect to ''My ISP Name', 'My Company Name' 'My Work Network', 'My ISP' When you go into work it asks for VPN config etc. so I guess it will connect to a domain.
