spec me a photography book

im a amateur and i have been messing with the settings on my camera for a while now and i have learned pretty much what each setting does however getting them to interact properly is taking more time

i want to get out of auto and even programmed auto mode

so can anyone recommend me a book or 2 to help me learn?
