Hey my sister has just got into photography and purchased herself a Nikon D3100 and her laptop has just died so she decided she would save a nice big sum for a decent pc with a good monitor for photography.
So far she has considered:
iMac 27" and a lot of rubbish laptops (I wish she would get in her head that good looking and little sparkles doesnt make the computer faster
)
I have suggested to her:
This laptop http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=LT-026-MS&groupid=959&catid=1828&subcat= and just hook it upto a Dell Ultrasharp U2410.
or a small tower and a U2410 or possibly a U2711
This is where you come in I want to show her that you can get small but powerful desktops which are usually cheaper than Macs and are usually much faster. Usually I would do this myself but i know nothing about micro-atx.
So it needs the lot the PC, windows 7, good mouse for photography and a keyboard but she likes everything small and compact so not a full sized keyboard and possibly micro-atx for the PC she also likes blue
Im guessing an i3/i5, 4gb RAM, Nvidia 430 or 450 for CUDA in Adobe software and big storage for photos and possibly a small SSD if it can fit into the budget.
£800 is the budget for the tower, windows 7 and the keyboard. She will purchase the mouse and monitor with a separate amount of cash but I would still like you to suggest a good mouse please
Thanks.

, although it'd only take a single height GPU), or is M-ATX as compact as you need to go?
