The wife has a habit of not charging her phone - When she goes out I ask is phone charged -As usual Oh no it's nearly flat. Its a Redmi note 5
So to stop the hassle of me going out to car and plugging her phone in and explaining what to do I thought it would be a good idea to have a Power Bank then I can just plug it in and hold phone and PB together with a elastic band.
So I just need enough power to do this every now and again -USB C (Poco X3) would be handy for my phone along with basic USB, - I also have a garage workshop LED lamp so it might be useful if battery goes down while using it -
I have googled them but they range from £10 up - From look of it I need to spend £20+ for something reasonable

Thanks

Keep an eye out for Black Friday this week, usually the Anker ones get discounted. If you don't need fast charging then the basic ones will do and should easily fall under £20.

Cheers lads - I have read that the black friday deals are more than they were a few months ago - i had boiled it down to Anker or Belkin

The Anker ones are not very good with Samsung phones they do not support the full charging speeds.

  • I have got this one from the rainforest. and is currently in the black Friday deal at £14.44 : A Bargain

INIU Power Bank, 20W PD3.0 QC4.0 Fast Charging LED Display 20000mAh Portable Charger, 3A Outputs Flashlight Phone Battery Pack Compatible with iPhone Samsung Xiaomi Huawei Tablet, etc. [2021 Version]

I did mention if they don't need fast charging in the message :p. And the higher end Anker does support USB-PD but they tend to be more expensive.

The Redmi Note 5 doesn't support any fast charging standards anyway. The Poco X3 on the other hand apparently supports QC 3.0, but I'm also seeing some reports of 18W USB-PD support too. It's up to OP if they want to spend the extra on fast charging.

I have just ordered a Belkin with QC and USB-PD support - Got wife to bung half with me.

I faffed and faffed about all day looking and in the end got fed up so got this that has everything I wanted.
Reverted back to my old HiFi days - Find (amp-turntable etc) you want and buy next model up - That way I never sat there cursing as I should have spent a bit more.

Thanks all.
