Looking at at getting a power pack for the car for emergencies. Any one recommend me one? Looking at one which has a fairly big starting amp anything over 400amps should be OK.

Budget is about £50

Cheers

Get any make, they all usually come with the standard 12v 20aH battery, not a lot else to it. eB** is a good place for these.

Yeah was looking at those Ebay ones and they seem pretty cheap for what you get.
I borrowed one off my mate but it wouldn’t start my car, it was similar to the Ebay jobbies, don’t know if it was fully charged but it was reading over 12V on the multimeter. My car battery was totally flat though and I understand the battery does need to have a couple of volts for the booster pack to work effectively?

I have the Coleman version. Mine is over 5 years old now and has started my truck (25 year old V-8) when it was 20 below outside, it's started a Chevy Lumina 3.8L V-6 that didn't even have a battery in it, it ran my 800W inverter with about a 90W load on it for several hours and still started my old Toyota.

I will swear by it for years to come. If the little battery inside it ever goes pop, I'm going to open the case and order the exact replacement it has worked so good.
