Not for me, I have been on Voda for ever and generally happy.

Its for my dad who has been using a old Nokia brick for years, he decided that he wanted a smart phone so I got him a Moto E.

He has a pay as you go sim that he uses pounds on a month, but no data.

What is the best pay as you go deal, with a little data, that doesn't expire. He hardly uses the phone and guess he will use less than 100mb a month, if not less than 10!

I had a look at giffgaff but found the whole bundle thing a bit confusing.

Any advice welcome

3 pay as you go 123 plan

^^ This absolutely.

I found I was using my mobile less and less, had previously been using The One plan from three and paying £35 pcm, when that price plan ended I started to look at my usage and found it was so low that no plan other than PAYG made any sense.

£10 gives you 150mb free data, if your dad is using as little as you suggest I'd say he coukld get through a year with maybe a £20 spend.

Do you have to buy a top up every 30 days with the three PAYG sim or can you make it do it automatically?

Not that I'm aware of. But I don't mind just topping up as and when so I've not looked into it.

You can get a 30 day rolling contract but it's more expensive than pay as you go.

Yeah that's why I asked. I'd prefer it to auto-renew like giffgaff goodybag style, but I guess I need to look at contract rather than payg.
