I'm not sure if this has come up before but i'm currently at uni and looking for a printer. Most of the printers i have seen while browsing have many features that i don't need/want, LCD screens, WiFi and so on. I really dont want to waste money on these features that i will never use, i feel this money would be better spend on higher quality print heads etc.

All i need is a printer that will scan and print at reasonably high quality via USB (my course requires some printed graphic work but professional standards are by no means necessary). I have no preference on brand although i have had some trouble previously with HP.

I have a budget of up to £80ish can be stretched slightly although the cheaper the better of course. Ink costs are also a concern, not so much initial outlay but they must last if they are expensive and so on.

Additional points:
Im not fussed regarding card readers (i have this covered on my laptop)
Must be mac compatible

So overall i just want a quality no nonsense printer/scanner. Any help you can give would be great because i feel like im going mad looking at 1000000s of models :D thanks in advance
