Hello all,

Looking for an all in one colour printer, must print double sided, will be using mainly for work for printing colour documents, so something where ink won't cost a fortune. Any recommendations? Not bought a printer for years but doing a lot of homeworking from now on so limited to one day in the office!

Thanks!

Pretty much all inkjet printers these days are all in one colour double sided. Roughly how much printing do you expect to be doing?
Ink is expensive for a lot of printers, but if you use it infrequently it's not too bad in terms of total cost even if cost per page printed is extortionate.
Keep in mind inkjet printers cartridges can dry out, I seem to end up replacing ours far too often despite not using it that much.

If it's for work and you're needing to print colour docs more than once a week maybe ask your employer to supply/fund one.

Laserjet all the way. Might not be cheap for the initial purchase, but they last ages and don’t have the issue of ink drying up when not being used.

Personally I like canon inkjets but make sure you get one with individual colour cartridges so you only replace the colour(s) you need rather than a tri-colour one where you need to replace all 3 even if it's just one that is empty.

I have had one of these for about a year, Brother MFC-L2710DW Wireless Laserjet Printer, absolutely blown away by it as a single colour printer. I've had lots of printers over the years but this thing is just great. very fast, easy to connect to from phones and computers. Can do fast copies and also flat bed scanning. Toner is about £30 for a 2 pack and they last ages.

If you don't want to pay through the nose for ink that only does a few pages and dries out if it isn't used for a while then you will have to go for something like the ecotank line from epson, but depending on what you want to pay for the features you want the cheapest would be the canon pixma megatank G5050 with the Epson ecotank ET-2850 and HP SmartTank 7005 being more expensive.
