Hi all, hope your having a good Xmas!

Any who, I've got a £50 GAME card and I'm looking for a headset. Budget is £150 with the voucher. Any ideas? I like the look of the tritton pro+ but heard bad things about durability.

Cheers :)

If you are not desperate for 1 I'd wait to see if Sony fix Bluetooth headphone profiles that is meant to be sorted soon ( not sure if this is for all brands or just there own pulse)

If you're buying from Game then you'll probably have to go for the best Turtle Beach set you can get for the price.

I see game is sold out of the px4 amazon has them for £99 could get a game with the voucher -:). I have the px4 and they are a nice headset

Ok I've got a choice, gta 5 pulse headset for £100, 4g wireless ps4 headset for £100 or the px4 for £130.

What do you guys think? I'm keen on the pulse but not sure if Sony will honour their claim to patch them. Do they work without the patch?

My friend has the px4 and I trialled them. For that price, your not going to get a better headset, so if you're on a budget the px4 are more then capable with some good features on it.

They do tick all the boxes. I'll just wait I think. Even with my £50 card, that's £80 I've still got to spend for something I don't exactly need. I'll keep an eye on them for now.

Just bit the bullet and got a pair of gta v edition pulse headphones. Heard good things, plus with the update in January I'm golden.

Only cost me £50 thanks to the GF :)

Edit: just had half hour on BF4 with these and I'm quite impressed. The bass impact can be abit much even on low but I'll have a play with it. Didn't know they were rechargeable either!

I'd recommend them.

so after 2 or 3 days are the pulse still ok or have you found any problems with them are you still glad you bought them?

Still enjoying them and not had any issues apart from one thing. After a couple of hours it gets abit uncomfortable. I do have a large head though, not insanely big lol. I use a L size motorbike helmet if that gives you any idea.

I've only used them for about 6 hours since I got them and I never usually use gaming headsets so I can't compare to any others.

A quick question about ps4 headsets in general.

How do they connect to the ps4 to get both audio and chat through them?

I modded a pc headset to use the single port on the game pad but I either get game or chat not both at the same time.

Today I bought some Game branded ones and found you still need AV outputs to get game audio but as I'm using a monitor with no speakers and no AV outputs to use they are useless.

Are all headsets like this and should I start looking for an amp?

Hi Spook, not quite understanding but if it's a non wireless headset you connect to gather controller and adjust setting in the audio options wether to have just chat or chat plus the rest.

As these PX4's still require a 3.5mm cable between the gamepad and earphones for voice chat, I assume I can just jack these into my amp instead of the PS4, that way I can use them with SKY, my movies etc as well as just the console?
