hi please can you spec me a good PSU (even better if you've used one to compare), requirements are quiet, stable, quality, 1pcie connector and 1xsata2 connector etc:

have these in mind:

Akasa Ultra Quiet 500W Paxpower Active PFC ATX2.2 PSU - Black Nickel £55
Coolermaster IGreen 500W PSU £52 ish
Antec NEO HE500GB 500W Modular PSU £59ish
Tagan TG480-U01 480W ATX2.0 SLi Compliant Silent PSU £56ish

It'll need to spec this pc:

AMD 5000+ dual core 2.6ghz
1gb DDR2
ASUS M2NPV-VM Micro ATX
PCIe Radeon x1950 Pro 256mb
320gb Maxtor Diamondmax SATA 7200rpm
1 x internal Sony dvdrw

no plans for upgrade/overclocking to it for a while (maybe an 8800gtx next year). Will a 480w PSU be enough or will I need more? thanks

All those would provide enough power for that spec, but I would go for the Akasa as it's the only one that says ATX2.2 :p and has joint most power.

I have an Akasa PaxPower 460 though so I may be a little biased, but it's doing me very well so far :).

cool, What's the difference between atx2 and the others. not sure what it does

FYI wattage is not everything. Nevertheless, all the units you listed would be fine. I'd personally go for the Tagan.

looks pretty nice actually, good wattage too.

just notice this one too:

Hiper HPU-4M580 Type R 580W ATX2.2 PSU - Black £56

judging by the reviews this one looks great!

btw, am still confused why some are advertised as having ATX 2.2 complaincy etc?/ what is it?

and are the modular ones, the psu's which you just stick in the cables you require and no more?

thanks
