Hey.

Im looking to get a new PSU so that in the future i could go crossfire or do what ever i want to do with watt's to spare.

Im looking for a high power psu which doesnt run full power all the time so it keeps my electric bills down, it has to be modular, and the wires cant be visable like yellow blue white etc colored cables, and id like the psu to be silent and somthing that wouldnt look out of place in a silver case with aload of blue lights.
is there such thing?
Oh and for the PCI-E cables can it have two of the new 8 pin pci-e cables and 2 of the 6 pin ones? :)

oh and my current psu if you must know is a blue hyper psu, and its actually not put a foot wrong since i got it a week after release :P

Thanks!

ok cheers mate, they both dont look bad, which would be the most stable between the two and the quietest and the lowest energy user when iv not got aload of hardware using up them watts,?

thanks

I would go with the Toughpower. It's got 4 bigger 12V rails as opposed to 6, so you're less likely to trip an OCP when using power hungry stuff and it's got 3x 8pin and 3x 6pin PCI-E cables if you want to go Tri-Fire.

HTH :)

I would say 1000w is overkill in my opinion and 1500w definately would be. The Zalman modular heat pipe psu's are excellent. I have the 750w version and it is totally silent, very efficient and has black braiding on all of the cables. It's black but still looks good in my silver windowed case. It also has blue leds too. They come in sizes from 500w to 1000w and all have quad 12v rails.

800W is overkill, and 1kW is completely mental. Get a Corsair HX620W and be happy with the money you saved by not falling into the "MOAR POWAR!!!11" trap.:)
