Hey,

I currently have a Tagan 480-U22 running my system and it has been utterly flawless. Quiet and powerful.

It also feels amazingly well built, unlike an OCZ 750w PSU i hastily purchased and subsequently took back a while ago. When the draw ramped up on this, it turned a quiet PC into a nightmare.

The Tagan on the other hand, simply refuses to make a noise, even when subjected to the abuse below.

As of yesterday, my PC spec is:

Core 2 Q6600 @ 3.6
2 HDD
1 SSD
GTX 570 SC (no OC yet)

Now, with all of the above.....my system surprisingly runs just fine, even when benchmarking.

The PSU however seems to be buzzing or whistling when under load so its obviously being stretched and i dont want to subject it to maybe 3 hours of gaming in that state.

I do plan on bumping the clocks on the GTX570 soon as well.

I know my Tagan has 30Amps when both rails are combined (not entirely sure how this happens but hey) and as I understand it, the 570 needs at least 36Amps on its own.

So i guess that based on what I have said above, I am hopign that board members can recommend a PSU.

My budget? 60/70.......if cheaper then good.

And I want to consider the build quality and noise.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Regards
Andy

Is there a chance that the Tagan is up to it then?

I paid a good bit (relatively) for this PSU back when i bought it as i am of the "buy good buy once" philosophy but could it really be managing this load ok?

Cheers
Andy
