Spec me... a PSU??

Well, the title says it all (almost anyway), got a budget of ~£70, might be able to squeeze £85 but I don't want to spend more than necessary (did I spell that right??).

Will be for the spec in sig and it's descendants!!!

MUST be easy to manage cables (doesn't have to be modular, but it's preferred) Must last a few years, hopefully until the end of Nehalem (mind you we may all start having 350w PSU's again to save teh polar bears!!) and most importantly reliable.

Too right, I got one of the old dodgy Sapphire HD4870's, the ones that required a BIOS flash!!

RJC/Corsair users, how the are the cables on the Corsair? And everyone seems to use them...

I had the 750w Corsair and currently running the 620w HX & 520W VX, I have no complaints regards the cables.

PC Power and Cooling/Corsair look the way to go... just have to devote one evening to Cabling

Yeah actually I think there was a thread about that a few weeks ago...

I'm very tempted, but in the back of my mind, I'm just think early part of '10 (that sounds weird) with i7 and a GTX3XX/HD58XX ect. 500w might be pushing it?

Assuming a 500w ish would just about do for the next few years how about the 520w modular Corsair?

Corsair PSU's are top notch. No problems here. Modular is the way to go...so the HX520watt would be ideal

Would have recommended the HX620W before the £ crashed. It's actually £23 more now then I got it for about 18 months ago.

I'm also looking a for a new PSU for a WHS server build.
This one claims to have 15 drive connectors - can it really power 15 HDs?
(I have between 7 and 11 HDs waiting to go into my yet to be built server.)
