Thats right lads n ladets I need a new PSU as the one im using is borrowed from a mate

System Spec is

AMD AM2 3500+ soon to be Duel core somthing not sure what yet.
Sapphire 3200 Crossfire Advantage Motherboard (this beast needs 24pin 8pin and 4 pin molex for power) Was Free :)
4x1024 DDR2 PC6400
2x80gb IDE hard drive
1x500gb Sata Hard Drive
1xSony/Optarc 20XDVD-Ram Sata
Ati HD 3850 (needs 6pin)
And two case fans (Running them from Floppy connector at 7v)

What would you recomend as a good PSU for this lot?

450-600w im thinking and around £60 possibly £70MAX

Thanks in Advance guys :)

OCZ ModXStream comes with all the connectors you need. 500W is about £60.

It even has seperate 4 and 8pin CPU connectors, rather than a split 4/8 connector.

Plus the standard molex and sata connections, naturally.

They're not bad budget supplies, I can't compare to much else: I simply noticed that mine had both the 4 and 8 pin connectors while some supplies don't... something the OP needs.

It'll certainly run his system though :-)

A quality 350-400w psu would be more than enough. My second rig consist's of:-

Intel Pentium Dual core [email protected].
Gigabyte P35 DS3R
ATI HD 3850 Pro
2x 1Gb Patriot Extreme PC2 5300
320Gb Seagate 7200.10 Sata ll hdd
LG 22x DVDRW dual layer sata drive
Zalman ZM-MFC2 multifunction controller
4x 120mm Yate Loons

Power draw is 85w idle and a max of 205w while running Orthos and Fur stability test at the same time. Normal gaming load is 165w. The psu is one of the excellent Enermax Pro 82+ 385w models. Any larger would be a total waste.
