system:
i5 2500k
Asus P8P67 pro
Corsair H70
Asus Geforce GTX 570
2x 2GB Corsair XMS3
Samsung BD player/DVD Writer
Cooler Master HAF X

no plans to do SLI

the corsair HX 750 i bought for this rig is currently awaiting RMA pickup and i am impatient and want the system up an running ASAP (and i really don't want to have to deal with the company i got the PSU from any more)

should i just stick with the corsair and buy another or is there a different brand you would recommend?

a review for the 750w antec says the 8 pin cpu power cable is a little short for his system, would this be an issue with the HAF X ?

Not sure, also it would depend on how you want to route your cable, Overclockers did sell a extension cable but I can't see it at the moment, they must be sold out.

According to jonnyguru both the 4pin and 8pin 'cpu connectors' are 540mm long. The HAF X is 550mm tall, so it probably would be able to reach if you stretched it over the motherboard, but would have to get an extension if you wanted it a bit more tidy.

According to the Silverstone website both the 650, 750 and 850W versions of the Silverstone Strider Plus (and Gold) series have 8pin 'cpu connectors' which are 750mm long. These measurements are confirmed by the jonnyguru review which gave the 750W Strider Plus version a 9.5 for performance, 9 overall, so is a high quality unit and probably worthy of your money. Unfortunately I don't think OCUK have it.
