Spec me a PSU :)

Hi all,

I am looking for a psu for my sistem;

i5-2500
570GTX
8GB Ram

I am currently looking at these;

Cooler Master GX 750 W
COOLER MASTER Silent Pro M700
Corsair TX 750
Corsair TX 850
Corsair TX 650
OCZ MODSTREAM PRO 700W

Considering that the crosair TX650 and the ocz are the cheapest ones, I can also squeeze the others but I'm not sure about the overkill that it would be, the only thing I will be adding to the system any time soon would be the SSD.

It doesn't mean that he can't get an Antec where he lives. They are sold world wide as far as i'm aware, he is also asking about buying from OCUK.

To the OP,

The coolermaster GX range suck, so take that of the list.

Buy a Corsair TX range, if you can find the Modular HX range and fancy modular cables then that is a good unit too.

The guy is asking for advice and i gave him my opinion. It is up to him to decide on what to buy and from where etc. I would personally get the Antec. It also depends on whether he would prefer a modular as most on his list are not.

Its only a good unit at OCUK current special offer price, when it goes back to its £110ish rrp, then a Corsair HX750 offers a better warranty and support for £10 more.

when he doesnt live in the uk? shipping costs on top of the units price. shipping back to OCUK within the first year if a fault develops etc etc.

Thanks guys, no need to argue! I might still order from here since I have a few relatives who can ship it to me afterwards. As I thought, I'm better off getting the Corsair TX versions, probably gona stick with either the 750 or 850

Because he isnt, the manufacturer would set a RRP which retailers will sell at, and the Corsair TX750 RRP in england is only around £10 more than the Antec and will be the equivalent in what ever currency he uses!! probably EUROS

Corsair are good PSU's i have one myself ( HX 620 ) if you are not bothered about modular then the TX range are fine.

They are both the same price, the TX850 and the Antec True Power 750, 110Euros, so around £100 give or take.

Non modular antec that is!
