Spec me a PSU

Hi there,

I'm looking for the cheapest possible PSU (dont care about modular or not honestly) to run the below system

Pre OC'ed Rampage Extreme II + 950 + 6gig mem
2 x MSI Frozer GTX 470s in SlI
2 HDDs + 1 SSD
DVD-Rom
some standard case fans.

Cheap is priority!

personally i would go for the XFX.

i was thinking the same since nvidia cards are so power hungry,for £10 more you can have the 750w:

You need to get your priorities right. Cheap and psu are two things that don't go together. You need a quality psu for that rig or you will be having problems.

I have seen reviews where total system load for SLI 470's hit 740w so i would suggest a minimum of 850w such as these:-

XFX Core Edition 850w

Corsair TX850v2

Antec Current High Power Gamer 900w

I'm just saying i dont needs a shinney modular cables. I just need one that can handle my system.

You could get away with 750W, but I'd recommend 850W.

So, maybe a Thermatake ToughPower 775W, XFX Core 750W, Corsair TX750W. Must have 4 PCIE, and well over 700W on 12V.

I'd say XFX 850W pro core, or whichever is cheapest among these.
