Ok so after upgrading, the last thing is a psu.

I want to upgrade it in the next month or so. As then my whole rig will be new withinn the last month or so.

So currently I have.

2500k
Asus p67
4GB - possibly going to 8GB
SSD -64GB
DVD RW
6 fans -scythe 1900rpm's
6950

Now future upgrades is a must.

I plan to add another 6950 for epeen :D overclock my2500k and maybe add 4GB of ram and MAYBE. A harddrive for back up.

Budget is £150 MAX!!!! but I can go to £170 as I am allowing £20 for my psu.

Dont say wait until u get the 6950, as I want my rig to be all new now :)

OW very important. Modular is a must!!!!!

Buying a Corsair PSU has been a no brainer for me for a few years now. OK you have to send the PSU to holland when its faulty but the turn round time is pretty quick & I ended up getting a better PSU then the one I sent back.

OCZ IS not bad. But is it possible to get full modular.

Ie even the 24pin etc ?

I think the ax850 corsair is a winner.

Full modular, lonnnnng warranty and only just over budget. But when I sell my psu. Will be less than £150

And the 850 will run CF AND give me a bit of headroom?

The HX850 is also a fantastic piece of kit. It has the same design as the HX750 that is stuff of legends lol.

Anyone know if the AX850 is the same?

OWWWW THE ocz at £140 is very tempting.

I want full modular as I only run DVD rw and a SSD

So would be nice to get rid of UN used cables :D

So OCZ at £140 or corsair at £160ish

HMMMM will have a look tonight.

Thanks guys. Not as bad as I thought.

Thought I would end up with a 1000w UN known psu with non modular.

So at 850W and fully modular. And in budget.

Result !!!

Is it ATI CF certified? And what does that mean if it is lol?

Its SLi certified which is pretty the much the same thing, im not 100% sure my self

As long as the unit have enough watts and enough amps on the 12v rail('s) then you will be fine. The unit is ample for 2 x 6950 :)
