I'm looking to get a new PSU for my PC, either going to be running a 1070 or 1080, not decided yet but hopefully doesn't make too much difference. The rest of the spec can be seen below, system is watercooled so there is a D5 pump, but will be no graphics cooler.

I want one that's going to be silent and modular. I looked at these, but not sure why there is a price difference:

What are the differences between RM and RMi series? Are Corsair good to go with? I've had a seasonic for over 7 year now and it hasn't battered an eyelid but I think last time I looked I read these corsair are very quiet. Is 750 enough, or should I be getting more?

The RMi has more in common with the HXi which is why the price is slightly higher.

Main differences are the RMi has all Jap caps rated for higher temps, corsair Link will monitor some additional stuff and a stupidly quiet Fluid Dynamic Bearing fan. This fan I can attest to is very silent.

To be honest you do not even need a 750w for that, a 550w or 650w unit would do that fine.

Thanks, I will go for the RMi 750 since it's not much extra and gives me a bit space for adding things in the future plus overclocking...
