spec me a pump and res

hi guys i need a pump and res for my new build, currently have a dual drive bay pump/res combo and building a new system with the P5 thermaltake Case

im also running a single 2x 120mm fan radiator (due to be upgraded) in line with a CPU and GPU loop

What's wrong with the pump/res combo you have? Is it the XSPC 750 by any chance?

it is yes, unfortunately there isnt any room to fit with the thermaltake P5 case

There's a 270 version if you have enough room. I've got one going into a current build. D5 controllable pump too.

that looks cool, whats the idea of the controllable pumps, surely you would want it to run at constant speed all the time?

It is constant but you have 5 settings... I have a D5 varia at the moment..Same pump that's on that combo.. Second setting is more than ample I find.. Nice and quite and moves plenty of water around. I have a fan controller on the rad fans if i need to get things a bit cooler, like at LAN but i don't think i've touched the pump setting since i first built the system nearly 3 years ago now.

I currently enjoy an EK-Xres 100 D5 Vario combination. Small, powerful, great fun!

The d5 is much much quieter than the XSPC 750 too, even on full speed you cant really hear it unless you put your head right near it. Mine lasted 10 years at full speed, i might try setting 2 on my new one like you suggest huddy, might get 20 years out of it
