The above is my work in progress. The pump must fit in front of the lower rad. The space is about 60 to 65mm from the rad to the SSD.

I'll have a 120 rad, 240 rad, cpu and gpu in the loop.

Looking for as quiet as possible for the pump.

Any suggestions please?

thanks

You don't want anything too big or it could block the airflow through that rad, how about a DDC and top? If you cut the mounting flanges off the DDC its 62mm wide I think.

The EK DCP 4.0 is only 54mm wide. or a D5 pump top combo is 45mm from back to front.

The EK is also advantageous as the connectors are in line with the narrowest part of the pump, so they don't make it wider.

Whatever you get, make sure you get an anti vibration pad.

I could mount that rad a little higher if it was going to block it in any way.

I'm really set on keeping and using the swiftech res that I have - think it looks good!!

Is the Laing D5 Vario ....

Decent.. looks like it should fit according to dimensions on another site. (maybe with 5mm to spare). I can also move the SSD to give a bit more space. Seems you can adjust the speed etc to quieten it down if needed.

You can but you get better performance with a top, but the main reason is flexibility of fittings. The old tops didn't really do that much for performance but the ones that have come out in the last 2 or 3 years give a good boost.

Thing is this, get the D5 and give it a whirl, if you are happy with it then keep it as is, if not you can always get a top later and it will still be 45mm deep so it can fit.
