As per title really.
Not too keen on buying a £2 ebay job but not hellbent on spending over £20 on one as it'll be doing about 12 connections then relegated to the as and when box.

If it makes a difference the panels are 5e as is the cable.

Do a search for "TL-000386" on google.co.uk or duckduckgo.com (not sure if can directly mention competitor retailers here) first link or so should return the result you are looking for £1.63 from a retailer whos first 3 letters is a mans name ;)

First thing that goes wrong with that device is the cutting blade, if you use it properly you can normally get around 60 or so punchdowns done before it starts to not cut the first time. (blad can be removed and sharpened) Build quality is not the best if the world but ive never had one fall apart, the hook and spade additions on it also work fine unlike some ebay ones are metal also.

For just 12 connections it will handle the job easily. No need to spend more or wade through ebay hoping its not coming from overseas :D

If you really insist you want a more long term tool search for "TC-PDT" will cost you £15-20ish from various retailers though and to be honest for your small job its total overkill.

Always used the £2 jobbies. Assuming you line the wire up and push down hard it cuts everytime.

Done about 800 connections with my current £2 tool with no problems other than the odd no cut.

I've got one of these.

Great to use, found the £2 ebay specials would pull the wires back out when punching down when using cheap wire (ie, when repairing an old connection). Not had that problem with this one.

Cyclops stripper is a great companion (google image safe :p), along with one of these side cutters..

A bit overkill for 12 connections mind..
