Do you game? Do you overclock? If it's in the living room, are looks important? Budget?
I am rapidly coming to the view that case and fans are pretty much at the bottom of the list when it comes to noise prevention, so long as you have 120mm fans and some sort of fan control to get them down to 5v or 7v. Furthermore, if you don't overclock or you are not gaming, you can switch them off. I did an experiment last weekend, and the difference between my CPU temps when fans were off and going full blast was 8C (4C between off and 5v). This is hardly likely to cause instability when surfing the net!
Should looks be important, have you considered a HTPC Case such as:
But as I said, it's the other bits that may be the noisiest. If you were to build a PC with the fans off or down to 5V, the noisiest bits could be the video card fan (consider ATI Tool or a fanless replacement), the PSU (consider Seasonic or Corsair), the hard drives (consider Samsung Spinpoint or WD AAK).
My P180 is the quietest case I've ever encountered, but keep in mind that the noise level of you components has more impact than the sound dampening of the case.
