Ok guys my pc is in my bedroom so on a night me old thermaltake xaser 111 can get a tad bit loud.

So im looking to make my next tower as quite as possible whilst maintaing a decent amount of airflow..
As you may see from my other thread im going withe the cool master comos (just a little gutted its steel and will weigh a ton but hey)

So basically this is what i have so far
Coolermaster RC-1000 Cosmos Silent Full Tower Case
Corsair HX 620W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU
Akasa AK FC-03 Fan Controller Pro
Tuniq tower

Now i understand the component are what can generate the most noise.
Is there any better cases, fan controllers and psu i can get for around the same money, is there better fans i can put in that 8nt going to cost the earth for a tiny drop in noise.

I want as quite as poss without spending a stupid amount of money..
and still keeping a decent amount of airflow.

As a side note there be 2 spinpoints in there 1 of the new raptors and a new gts/gtx

Am i going with the wrong case and set up or what ?? nothing is payed for yet its all just a shopping list.
thxs to anyone that helps

Another case ive been looking at is the
Silverstone TJ09B-W (Black) TEMJIN aluminium Supertower

would this be a better case and worth the extra money ?

In my opinion?

Absolutely! Silverstone cases are extremely high quality (almost as good as the old ATC cases from Coolermaster). The TJ09 is absolutely loaded with features, and -more importantly- it looks very classy.

I agree with Blair about the case. The Raptor is probably going to be the noisiest thing, especially with the fan controller keeping fan speeds low. You might consider an enclosure for it if you discover that it's unbearable loud.

So you guys think the silverstone will be a better case over the coolmaster ?

and would you mind pointing me in right direction for a good enclosure

If you're going for a quiet full tower then the Cosmos isn't too bad. Its got sound dampening material on both of the large side panels and rubber grommets on the hard drive mounts.

Its heavy-ish but with the huge handles its easier to transport than most full towers I've seen and owned.

Its also EXCELLENT to work with having side panels that open via a latch (no screws) and one-push 5.25" drive mounting/locking mechanisms. Also there's tons of clearance space to the top and right of the motherboard.

p.s. The Tuniq tower isn't what I'd call quiet.

My raptor IS the noisiest component in my system.

and that's with the rubber mounts the Lian Li give you to attach the drives with.

Fans and the hard drive are the noise makers. Try and get very quiet fans, Noctua are a great brand. Suspend your hard drive in the CDROM bay with sewing elastic. You have the quietest PSU. A Thermalright Heatsink with a good, quiet Fan is the best choise for a CPU cooling setup.
