Found my old wheel (driving force GT) whilst tidying up and realised now I have the rift it would be cool to get a decent driving game to play.

Have quite a few arcadey types, e.g. Nfs, The crew, but no "sim" types.

So far it seems to be between Project Cars 2 or assetto corsa, any recommendations for which, (or other suggestions?)

Sounds like any of the options should be worth looking at then?

Project Cars 2 is £14.99 on CDKeys at the moment, or £22.99 for the deluxe version
Assetto Corsa is £15.49 on Steam, or £30.53 for the ultimate edition
Dirt Rally is £24.99 on Steam or £18.99 on Oculus store for the VR only version

Best value from the above?

It doesn't look like Dirt Rally 2.0 supports VR at present?

What's my performance going to be like running on a 980ti?

Cheers!

PC2 is an easier drive than AC and was built with VR in mind and looks great (AC is also great in VR but definitely less forgiving). Get both :p.

With a 980ti performance shouldn't be too bad, what CPU do you have?

It's quite old unfortunately, i7-2600, also have 16GB ram

Easier drive is always good, would prefer something a bit more "fun" than absolutely realistic (although a balance of both would be the best ;))

pcars 2 has by far the best (out of the box) vr support, tracks, dynamic weather, career. if you arnt bothered about the most "sim" like game its without a doubt the best choice.
