i've just got a new wheel (logitech G27), but sadly the main game i was looking to play with the wheel, CARS, is really not the greatest for force feedback because its still in development, and there are bugs with my wheel on that game

so, can anyone recommend a game that has really nice FFB, preferably that is free, or at least has a free demo available so that i can give it a quick go before i buy it.

i currently have:
- CARS (obviously)
- Dirt 3
- need for speed world
- a demo of RBR rally
- a demo of GTR2

anyone got any recommendations? (inb4 iracing)

Give the Live For Speed demo a try. It's a couple of years old and there haven't been many updates for a while, but the FFB is one of the best I've tried, and there should be updates coming "soon". It still has a fairly active community, you should be able to get a race on the demo no problem. It's a great sim to use to get used to the wheel, the handling is quite forgiving and you can really get the car moving and drifting and have a play.

I do recommend you try iRacing though, there are special offers for new members, like $5 for 1 month or $10 for 3 (last time I looked anyway). This gets you the MX5 and a few other cars. The MX5 is fantastic to drive. It's well worth the couple of quid, even if you just try it for a month and don't like it. http://www.iracing.com/5-dollar-promo/

thanks, will try the L4S and race 07 demos :)

if i can find a free trial for iracing i'll give it a go, but i have no interest in spending £78256348956723456 to play a racing game for a few months

You just missed out on a free months trial. The $5 promo is good, it gets you a month, you get the MX5, SRF, a couple of oval cars and a good few tracks included, and you will be able to race once an hour for the next month without spending another penny. It's worth £3.
