Basically I've had simultaneous multiple component failure, and need a new PC.

I already have a new PSU (600W), and I'm pretty sure my hard drives are still functioning, and my case still does the business. Unsure about my RAM.

So that means I need a new Motherboad, CPU, and GFX. I figure since I'm buying new components anyway, I may as well get new RAM too, as I fancy having 8Gb, and its pretty cheap.

Performance wise I'm not that fussed. Previously I was running a AMD 965 + 5870, and that was enough power for everything I did. So I'll be looking at getting components to a similar/slightly greater performance than this.

From what I've seen, Intel is king at the moment, but the sheer range of different Intel motherboards is a bit daunting.

So basically I need a new:
CPU
Motherboard
Graphics card
RAM (8 Gb)

No budget has been set, but the lower the better, performance shouldn't be lower than my old machine.

Cheers!

I've just realised that my monitors use DVI connections, so I chose a GFX card here that has two DVI slots.

Cheers for the RAM advice. The same motherboard has been recommended twice now, is it that much better than the cheaper one I posted? The choice of intel chipsets is pretty confusing these days.

Just checked out the benchs on the Nvidia card, seems slightly better, but I think I'll stick with the 7870 as I already have AMD drivers installed and don't want to risk confusion.
