Hi, i'm thinking of building my first PC. I'm looking to build a purely gaming rig with a budget of about £1000 inc. monitor/keyboard/mouse and i will be overclocking. any help or advise is welcomed. thanks :D

I did one but with a few parts that differ from Semi-Pro's spec. Both are excellent choices, IMO.

It includes a GTX and a better case but the tradeoff is a 19" widescreen monitor.

sneakily added a 2900 in their trigger ;D, good card but getting a gts will allow more budget for a better monitor.

I thought the components were good (22" LG) plus he can overclock his CPU enough to achieve a decent 3DMark score (he can easily see 12K to be honest).

If it was me, I'd get a GTX second hand. :)
