spec me a router! (curse d-link)

hi chaps i currently have a d-link g604t which dies every 5 minutes and needs a hard reset to get going again.

anyone recommend a good modem/router for a 2meg connection supplying 3 pc's?

looking at a netgear DG834GT anyone have experience with them?

The DG834 range has built an enviable reputation as easy to install and reliable so the DG834GT should be a good choice. It might be worth also considering the DG834PN, depending on what your wireless needs are.

Started on a D_Link...pile of crap. Moved to Linksys and they're a lot better but not perfect.

Recently when my friends Linksys's have been dying I've replaced them with Netgear. Very impressed.

Recently got a DG834GT and it works very well for gaming and normal web use.

Yeh netgear are good for the price. My nets acctually ran off a cisco 2610.

The DG834PN is a draft N router.

How old is your D-Link router as they do have a 2 year warranty I believe also have you updated the firmware.

Also might sound a stupid question but have you tested another router from the same connection you are using the D-Link on in case it is not a issue with the D-Link router but maybe something as simple as a duff micro filter.
