Bought a NETGEAR DG834G and I'm less that impressed after have excellent wired router and access points from netgear for the past 4 years.

It goes between 30-54mbps, this is only 10ft away through 1 wall, to a USB data stick. Not the ideal setup, but very poor. Been reading a bit about it, realised its only 54mbps, rather than 108 and it the 'basic' type of router.

Sending it back and getting another, but which one?

Been looking at;

Netgear WPN824

Or one of those that can stream media to your TV (are they any good? Will I need any extra equipment) Netgear WNR834B

Any known issues/problems? Which would you recommend? (Assuming price isn't really an issue if it's really good)

P.S PCI Adapter is the best right?

Oops, was looking at wrong section. I have ADSL from adsl24, 8mbps, but can only get 400kb/s with this router, have 800+ before.

and by 'basic' I meant 54mbps.

This is the one I was looking at. DG834N

Will I need any extra gear to get it to stream stuff to a 42" Panasonic Plasma?

Edit: Could you link me to a PCI Card that will be suitable for that router?

Thanks!

Tried changing the channel to 13, wouldn't reconnect after that, just kept searching 11, 2 and 4.

Got a RMA.
