I keep trying to find a lantiq chipset router to replace my home hub- was looking at Draytek or Fritzbox- but is that my only REALLY good option against an ECI cabinet?

Well you won't be getting G.INP anytime soon.

Because the ECI Cabinets are not getting updated yet - doesn't mean I shouldn't get a router that supports it (Draytek supports vectoring and G.INP).

So, question still withstanding, whats the best to get?

Relatively cheap is the TD-W9980. Recent firmware was released for G.INP support at the time cabinets were being updated for it. It's expected the same will happen for the introduction of vectoring.

As Overclockers are listed as a seller

OCUK are listed as a seller of their products and not specifically that one.

However, since there isn't that much information it's possible that a release date hasn't been set as of this moment in time which is why there isn't a listing over on the main site.

Yes, I believe the release date of this device has slipped a couple of times now. Hopefully they don't just decide to rush it out to compete with the competitors.

Not entirely sure on the full spec of this but saw this listed on the TP-Link website. As Overclockers are listed as a seller, Maybe they can find out when it is due for release and a bit more on the spec?

I just thought seeing as their last models used lantiq then maybe this might be the same.

It is not Lantiq :P

It is in fact Broadcom, both v1 and v2 will use broadcom.

Kitz says -

A little birdie tells me that whilst VR900 v1 uses BCM63168 SoC, there's a v2 in final stages of development that uses a BCM63137.(Same SoC series apparently).

It's anticipated that TP-Link UK should receive these units for testing in the next few weeks.

And now in stock https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=NW-167-TP £139.99
