Hey all,

i'm looking for a router for my home. Wireless is preferrable as I dont have cat 5 runs to the rooms.

What I need is something with a very good signal strenghth as it needs to work over 2 floors.

I'll be placing it as central as I can and signal signal boosters are an option.

I don't mind which brand but I would like to keep it below a £100 if you can.

Many Thanks
Andy

Edit: I'd like something with traffic managment. So if need be I can limit the connection on some machines.

I personally use a WRT320N with my o2 box as a modem and DDWRT firmware. Though do remember communication is two way so no good having great output on the router if your adapter can't get a signal back to it. The adapter is more often than not the weak point.

For two floors you may consider spending £60 on a router and 30 on a separate AP and run a cable between them to provide better coverage.
