edit: Just done a quick search and all of them appear to have 4 ports. Presumably the solution then for my network would be to use all the ports and add two usb 300bps for any extra items (for simplicity)?

The simple option is to buy a network switch to add the ports you need.

I'd get a eight port Gigabit switch. Connect one port back to the router and then connect everything else to the other seven ports.

If you're not too bothered about inter-machine speed you could just get a five port switch and spread the machines between the switch and router ports.
