Spec me a router!

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good ethernet+wireless router/modem for NTHell Cable, preferably Netgear.

Never bought one for cable before, so not sure what to go for. Not too expensive would be good too!

I'd do a Linksys WRT54GL with a custom firmware like Tomato.

VM supply a modem with an ethernet output, you just need a basic router with an ethernet WAN port and ethernet/wireless LAN. Simpler and easier to setup than the integrated modem/router you'd typically use with an ADSL connection.

I just need to make sure the modem has an ethernet outport then, and I can get any router? Would rather go with netgear.

Alternatively, if you want something with a faster wireless there is a selection here

The Linksys WRT350N will also run third party firmware, apparently, and does 802.11n.
The shop doesn't sell them though.

i use a Netgear WGR614 for my virgin cable.
