The Black and Decker Mouse I had before (Wife purchased) has given up the ghost so I'm looking for a new sander. I'd mainly for sanding down walls once filled, and acre's of skirting board I need to sand before painting.

Any suggestions? This Makita BO4555 gets good reviews.

I have a Bosch Gop so I can use that for some of the smaller stuff like the stair bannisters etc.

You can't go wrong with anything Makita in my opinion.

Was your previous a belt sander or a palm sander? Personally I've only ever used a belt sander never used a palm sander so not quite sure how they work.

Belt sander too vicious, better off with a Ramdom orbital sander.

Your budget?

I alway like Makita, expensive, but they last, my makita sanders must be nearly 15 years old, & well used.

This would be my choice, & use quidco will knock a few more pounds off the price.

Makita 1/3 sheet sander Makita BO3711.

There is Bosch their green (DIY) range, similar price, BUT no where the quailty of the Makita.

Eh depends what your sanding ;)

The DeWalt looks pretty impressive and has very good reviews only negatives about it are the dust bag isn't very good. However I wouldn't let it stop you buying it.

Think Dewalt is usually a 1 year warranty. In all honesty I have never had any decent power tool fail within a year. Usually way past 3 years for any of my Dewalt or Makita gear and they get used and abused daily.

Some of the latest Dewalt tools are 3 year warranty. There is an impact driver I am currently looking at getting on their new lithium battery system, which is 3 years warranty.

Think this is the same model for £79.99.
