So getting to/from work 5 days a week (posted few days ago about finally going full time) is gonna get expensive, and time consuming. The bus is £48 a month and takes 45mins minumum, as it seems to stop every 5 meters or so and go from royton to shaw via moscow. And to top it off, if I get moved onto the late shift (quite possible) I will finish at 1am and theres no busses, so its £7.50 for the 10 minute taxi home.
So I think a scooter is in order. But what do I need? Aside from the actual scooter, obviously.
I need to get my provisional licence sorted and do the CBT. Scooter, helmet, something to secure said scooter, insurance. Am I missing anything?
How much am I looking at spending? My dad said about a grand for a 125 scooter but looking ity seems to be more like £1300-£1500 ish 2nd hand (not an issue if it is in good nick ... and not nicked). And which one?
