I want to get into something new but not sure what,

What I enjoy:

Breaking Bad
The Walking Dead
Sons of Anarchy
Dexter
The Big Bang Theory
Family Guy
Under The Dome (ish)

How I Met Your Mother - Very funny, last season not so, and created one of the great TV characters in Barney Stinson.
Banshee - Sex and violence, need I say more?
Arrow - Started off a bit meh but something happened and it became excellent. A fair few on these forums think likewise.
Castle - Great, lighthearted, show (still don't see it with Stana Katic).

The Shield - the best cop show ever made except maybe The Wire. You'll recognise a lot of the cast from guest stars in SoA. It was made by the same network.

How do you feel about subtitles ? There are some amazing eurocrime dramas like Spiral, The Killing, The Bridge ( new season starting beeb 4 in January ) and the two Swedish incarnations of Wallander.

The first season of ray donovan is worth a watch,I watched it around the same time as the final episodes of breaking bad and dare i say it  i enjoyed it more and i love breaking bad.

Person of Interest is a good watch, The wife and I have caught up to end of Season 2 over the holidays, Its easy to watch, good story lines and also looks like its going in an interesting direction

Continuum
Battlestar galactica new series
Stargate movie + series
Lie to me
Archer
Last resort
The event
Futurama

Another vote for Arrow. Agreed it started of a bit weird but developed into the one of the best things on tv. Series 2 gets better with each episode and I cant wait for next week :)

Also, The Tomorrow People is quite good.

Person of Interest (probably my favourite show)
The Tomorrow People
Almost Human (discovered this show whilst in USA last month)
The Blacklist
Arrow

Others that some may like and some may not (the writing can be very hit and miss):
Nikita
Beauty and the Beast (Kristen Kreuk :p)
Reign (terrible, terrible show but Adelaide Kane is very easy on the eyes, which makes it passable :p)
