In France for a couple of weeks. Need to supplement my work with some simple gaming. Can you recommend my a game that my poor little lappy will run. Its only got a little bog standard Intel 945 gfx chip and I don't think that will cope with L4D :(

I was thinking maybe Railroad Tycoon or something similar. Any ideas? Oh, and it needs to be something I can download from Steam etc. !!!

Thought about Rollercoaster Tycoon. Might give that a go. Having a quick browse through Civ3 caught my eye. Haven't played that in ages and it costs peanuts.

Not heard of peggle what's that all about then?

PopCap games
Uplink
Rollercoaster Tycoon 1
SimCIty 2000
Civ
Transport Tycoon

To name a few, no idea what is available on Steam though as I haven't touched it in months!

I know Uplink is on there though.

If you want some FPS games, then absolute classics like the first Unreal Tournament (Even UT2004 should work fine!) and Quake III would be great choices. These games are available on Steam.

There is also the choice of emulators too :p.

On an x3100 I'm currently playing:

Hitman 1/2/3
Command and Conquer the First Decade (all working fine, including Generals + Zero Hour)
Counterstrike
HL 1 and 2, not so much luck with Ep1/2
Peggle + Nights + Extreme etc...
Diablo 1 + 2
Dungeon Siege 1 + 2
Freespace 2

They're fairly capable IGPs, just need a little tweaking to get the best out of them.
