Spec me a simple mechanical keyboard

Hi folks,

Looking to shift over to a mechanical keyboard but kind of lost with all the choice.

I do not care for RGB lighting, garish gaming designs, nor 'military grade' components. I just want a decent keyboard, preferably with the keys backlit, and dedicated volume control.

Currently rocking a MS Sidewinder X4, which to be honest I have never had and issue with, but then never tried anything else!

Nice simple and inexpensive introduction into the world of Mechanical Keyboards!

No dedicated volume but the price speaks for itself and it has shortcuts for volume.

I really like my Ducky Zero DK2108SZ.

Cherry MX blue switches, blue backlight and volume control keys.

I picked up a K65 from MM a couple of weeks ago, the cherry reds were very different to my previous keyboard but you get used to it. Would recommend the product to others.

Plus, it has funky RGB stuff ^^

For simple cherry MX boards Leopold are by far the best IMO.

If you're coming from rubber-dome keyboards, then you'll probably get on best with brown switches - they're a good compromise between gaming and typing.
