Needs to be small enough to fit in a small saddle back. The camera on my phone is shot. Not going to get a new phone as its a work one and not going to shell out for a percy phone just for the camera.

My rides take me to some pituresque places and I always say i'll drive back with my DSLR gear but having said that for the last 3 months its obvious that I am never going to execute that idea. So i;d like a small camera capable fo taking decent pictures that i can sling into the saddle bag along with the tools / grub and not worry about ti getting knackered.

Olympus e-pm2 or EPL-5, Nikon V2/3, Panasonic GM1 or G7

Will all fit in a small bag or typical jacket pocket, or larger trouser/short pocket, and will all give near or equal DSLR image quality.

I live in Stotfold, where do you ride to out of interest?

I'm about to drop me DSLR and get something more portable, will be a Fuji Or Panasonic I think

Sony RX100 mk 1? Old now and should be pretty cheap SH. Takes a lovely picture. Maybe the Mk2 is you can stretch to it?

I do like the Sony recommended above but it is very pricey! If it was me wanting something to go everywhere on a bike I'd look at a second hand canon s100 or s110 cheaper than the Sony great quality and absolutely tiny I carry ours in a jeans pocket.

Maybe get a cheapish small rucksack and take the slr with you? That's what I do

In fact I'm going to head out now and do a few miles
