My B&W A7 has died, and honestly it's going to take me a while to retrofit a new amp into it, and the other half wants decent music in the kitchen again. Current have just an Echo Dot.

Needs to play BBC Sounds stuff
Needs to play podcasts
Tidal support is a bonus

An Alexa device would be ok as she's familiar with it....she's also an iPhone user so Homepod is a possibility.

Any tips? I can't abide awful sound in the house, so quality is a priority.

Homepod 2 is out soon. Probably do the job.
 
Yeah I’d go with a Sonos One-plays well with all services and can enable Alexa as a smart assistant. Can use her iPhone for Trueplay as well.
