Spec me a smoothie maker!

I was looking for a smoothie maker too, the Kenwood range is very good, they also come with a free recipe book.

You can get them from Argos, but I'm sure they're cheaper somewhere else like Tesco.

I use just a normal blender. I don't think it has to be a smoothie maker as such. The only real difference between the 2 is the smootie maker has a tap.

I use this one, don't know the name of the model but its a Kenwood, and Tesco were doing a £10 off deal on it so we bought it :D

You might be best off getting a normal blender, I have a kenwood smoothie makers and the tap has developed a leak so I end up with having to transfer it straight into a jug anyway.

Just get a normal handheld blender - much more versatile. Mine came with a plastic jug, I just use that for making smoothies.

I'm not sure you need a recipe book either:

1) Get a load of fruit\juice
2) Blend
3) Drink

Simple!

Cheers.

Do you need to dismantle your smoothie maker to clean it or can it be flushed through with water?

We've got that too. Bought with all the good intentions in the world, used about 10 times in 18 months.

That said, it does the job it was designed to do very well. It's a Kenwood 'Smoothie Concert' or something along those lines.

Cheers.

You can take the jug off and stick it in your washing up but as the last post says the tap is a awkward, you can only really flush it through.
