Hey Guys
I recently built my first pc all went well (yay!) , but i am now starting to wish that i had purchased a third party cpu cooler so that i can push my rig a little further , maybe try a little overclocking. The stock cooler is working fine and although a little noisy when gaming my temps are ok i think , (about 31 c idle , mid 40s c when gaming) . can anybody recommend me a cooler for socket am3, that hopefully wont require me to remove my motherboard. Here is my spec

AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition "125W Edition" 3.20GHz (Socket AM3) - Retail
XFX ATI Radeon HD 6850 Black Edition
Asus M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 AMD 880G (Socket AM3)
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit
Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB
Coolermaster HAF 912 Plus Case
OCZ Special OPS 4GB
Coolermaster Silent Pro Modular 700W Power Supply

Your case has a big hole to gain access to the back of the motherboard, so you can fit all of them.

£15 - Coolermaster Hyper 212 plus (+) cheap and bloody good.

obviously the silver arrow but thats mega money.

ALC eco are good, I have one and It keeps my 940BE 140w cpu at 42C full load, that is overclocked to 3.4gig from 3gig.

cheers for the advice. i am also looking at the corsair h60 but am unsure as to whether its a bit too "top end" for the amount of overclock that i would be attempting.

thermaltake frio cooler gets my vote fantastic cooler (only downside is its fans are noisy I replaced mine with vipers). May not perform as well as a silver arrow or Noctua only slightly behind I believe. But at only £40 its overkill for AMD cpu's and tbh you don't need anymore.
