Hey guys, looking to buy a ssd for xmas, Gonna do a fresh install of windows and install it on ssd.

Also what games are good now? I want something new to play with :P

Get the Crucial M4, very impressed with mine. I'm sure plenty of others will be along soon to back me up on this :)

Games wise? Depends what you like. I've enjoyed Deus Ex HR, Skyrim and BF3 the most lately.

I enjoy most games realy, and what size would you suggest for ssd.

Definitely go for at least the 128Gb. A lot of people seem to go for the 60Gb drives, but once you've installed your OS, updates and critical apps, you don't have a lot of space left. 128Gb will allow you to install quite a few large games as well.

Just bought the 128gb crucial m4. My first ssd. I wish I had got one a year ago it is awesome, totally changes the experience for the better I feel. Wouldn't go less than 128gb if budget not an issue.

Games wise I still play Starcraft 2 almost daily but not very good at it. Also the Anno games nd Battlefield 3.

128GB/256GB M4 or HyperX, Skyrim, BF3, Saints Row 3, Arkham City, Mordern Warfare 3, Serious Sam, Anno 2070.

+1 for 128GB M4

I make do with 80GB SSD cos I bought it quite a while ago an god yeah, best upgrade I've ever made.

Games-wise - BF3 tbh, the gfx and realism are pretty jaw dropping imo.

+1 for a Crucial M4, they are really good drives, decent value and don't seem to have the level of issues some other current-gen SSDs are experiencing.

If your budget can bear it, I would go with the 256GB version. I say this because it is usually a bit cheaper per GB than the 128GB one, offers plenty of space to put all your main games on and is also a bit quicker than the 128GB version (write speeds specifically are a good deal better). That said, if you can't afford the 256GB then the 128GB version is still a really good option.

Another one to look out for is the Intel 320. This isn't quite as fast as a M4, however it tends to be a bit cheaper per GB and also comes with a longer warranty (5 years vs 3 years).

As for some games to try out I would certainly give Battlefield 3 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim a go.
