Spec me a steamer.

Gonna start tying to eat a bit more healthily and recently have been steaming veggies in the micro and I'm fancying the idea of a standalone steamer.

Looking for something about £40-50 with 3 trays/sections.

Any ideas?

PS can you cook things like chicken etc in them?

Looks a lot better than some I've been looking at for the budget I've set. Think I'll up it a bit.

Is there much of a benefit of using ones with digital displays as opposed to the the dial style?

Well the main advantage of that one, is that you tell it what you're steaming, then it times everything so it finishes at the same time, which is handy! Plus there's also an additional timer, so you can set it all to finish 60 minutes later.

Not seen the dial ones, so I can't comment on those

Steamer arrived and duly tested. Must say it is superb.

Did Potatoes, Cauliflower and Carrots in it with roast chicken. Superb.

Really liked the look of it I must say but just don't have enough room for another gadget. Seemed a really good price too.

Does not take up that much room and the cord fits into a special area in the base.

OK I've been using this for for a about a month and love - one question. Can I steam frozen veg in it?

For example carrots, caulie, sprouts etc/

Had mine for ages now well over a year and yes you can stick frozen veg in it, I always steam my frozen peas, green beans in there.
Seems like they have a new design than the one I have.
