The sound setup in my room needs sorting out; currently my PC and 360 are wired through a series of y-splitters and extension leads to a cheap hi-fi and a pair of Mission 700's circa about 1975
(While great speakers, the foam around the speaker cone is shredded on one of them; can't find a proper replacement or repair for love nor sensible money)
I had a read about here, and a decent second-hand Amp + speaker setup seems the way to go. I had a look at the Cambridge A1/A5 and they seem almost perfect... but I really need a headphone socket.
So I need some recommendations for an Amp and speakers to look for, budget is about £100-£150 for the lot.
Oh, and I have an X-Fi Xtreme music so PC output will be from that.
