SPEC me a storage network server unit plz

right guys im wanting a network storage server i want 5 Terrabytes or more storage to save the backup of all my music archive and backups of my BlueRay disks and DVD's (there are LOTS).... cheap as possiable....

(p.s. i dont know nothing about backup network servers i just know about gaming rigs ;-b)

what are you going to do on it?

I opened a similar thread, and Al Vallario kindly pointed me here for an option.
And i bought one, should arrive today.
Certainly worth considering, especially with the £100 rebate.

yes just file holding... and banzai looks intresting but i rather spec my own in micro shuttle case preff...

That's fair enough mate, but for a HP product the price is outstanding and very versatile, certainly more future proofed than any other SFF i've seen, what with the 4 drives and EEC ram slots.

But, yeah, horses for course i guess. I was originally gonna get the Synology DiskStation DS710+, but this swung it tbh.
